HOW TO TEACH BEGINNERS

Weds 7th Nov 2018

6.30pm - 8.30pm

Teaching beginners is an art which takes supreme patience, a sound knoweldge of anatomy and physiology, an understanding of the mind frame of the beginner and the ability to imaprt information in many diverse ways, to appeal to all learning types.

After this workshop you will feel more confident in how to devise yoga classes for beginners as well as how to make a general level class inclusive for beginners alongside those who are more advanced. We will look at sequencing, language, psychology, pranayama, adjustements and demos.

There will be plenty of space for you to ask questions and the session has the flexibilty to be tailored around the areas in which you feel you need the most guidance.

My little home studio is a small space, so this will be a theoretical rather than a physical workshop, discussing ideas, small group sequencing writing tasks and methodology exploration.

To feed your body as well as your soul, a selection of vegan and vegetarian baked goods, hand made by my chef girlfriend Sal who owns Breadren will be gifted to you. Exact offerings change according to seasonality and availability, but previous treats have included chewy fennel and cardamom cookies, fruity banana and coconut loaves, decadent chocolate brownies and sumptuous matcha mochi cakes. These will be accompanied by hearbal tea and water.

Venue

My little home studio near Hammersmith and Putney Brige tube stations (also metered street parking). The address will be sent to you personally, upon booking.
